Re: False and Misleading Information about Lyme Disease.

Henry, what is Lyme disease? A spirochetal infection, yes? What does chronic mean? Put "chronic" in front of "Lyme disease", and what is the result? I can tell you what it ain't: It ain't the definition put forth by these authors. As for me, I find it difficult to discuss my diagnosis relative to th...

Re: False and Misleading Information about Lyme Disease.

I find it unsettling that anybody would ever attempt to denigrate the patient experience. In what other disease would one find a small group of clinician/researchers seemingly try to downgrade the gravity of sufferers' symptoms, and reduce them to the level of common complaints? Just ballsy, or poss...

Re: False and Misleading Information about Lyme Disease.

First, please stop with the red herring. Most Lyme patients have objective evidence; just not your brand of it.

Second, please don't ask that I read that article again. I had to reach for the sick bucket just at the thought. I do not believe I could endure it.

Re: False and Misleading Information about Lyme Disease.

You assumed wrongly again, Henry. What makes you think my "alternative facts" reference tied back to the content of the article? Low hanging fruit... I fear you, perhaps similar to the authors, aren't all that familiar with marketing. Perception rules more frequently than you might think. Of course,...

Re: False and Misleading Information about Lyme Disease.

No, it is not.

But thanks for the opinion piece. It's a real hoot! :D

Brings to mind "alternative facts".

I wonder if the authors were aware of the possible equivalence the "false and misleading" thing might provoke in readers, i.e., it might not be what they assumed.

Re: False and Misleading Information about Lyme Disease.

False and misleading as in posting what appears to be an opinion piece under a section reserved for published studies?

Can't know for sure without a link to review the entire...whatever it is.

"Do you ever have deja vu...", Henry?

"Ok campers, rise and shine and don't forget your booties because it's cold out there!"

"Phil? Phil Connors?? Now, don't tell me you don't remember me because I sure as heckfire remember you."

Bing.

Re: Ceftriaxone Pulse Dosing Fails to Eradicate Biofilm-Like Bb Persisters

Most Lyme patients have evidence, Henry. It's just spurned by a small group - loathe to relinquish power - who preach what a growing number believe are egregiously unrealistic and unreliable metrics and treatments, and turn a deaf ear to the cries of the patients, or worse, disparage them. Sadly, th...

Re: Ceftriaxone Pulse Dosing Fails to Eradicate Biofilm-Like Bb Persisters

Based in what Science? Clearly any myth that doxy or rocephen or whatever will always eradicate Borrelia has been debunked. So you cannot prove the universal and without-fail efficacy of conventional treatments, while I can point to studies (such as this thread is built upon) that amply suggest thei...

Re: Ceftriaxone Pulse Dosing Fails to Eradicate Biofilm-Like Bb Persisters

The theory you subscribe to is: you don't know??? This is ok by you to foist onto the countless Lyme patients left out in the cold? So, someone gets bitten by a tick, gets the EM, meets CDC criteria for Lyme, receives treatment, and treatment fails to cure them of their symptoms, and your response i...
