"inmacdonald":
Objections to IDSA guidelines:
Yes.

But I am interested in this statement:
The Deutsche Borreliose-Gesellschaft (German Society of Lyme-Borreliosis) raises objections to the IDSA Lyme Guidelines published in 2006. The fundamental basis for our objections is that the implementation of the IDSA guidelines extends beyond the United States and into Europe.
I am wondering if anyone has any opinions on exactly how that happens?

Does the extension into Europe happen voluntarily? Does this happen because they find the IDSA view persuasive*?

Or do IDSA secret police/ ninjas restrain European doctors and smack them with those little reflex hammers until they agree?

* I am told that this is a "loaded" phrase when used in a "geopolitical construct".

Like debris being sucked into a vacuum, maybe default played a role?

I wouldn't think so... after all, here you clearly have evidence of contrary opinions from ILADS and the German Borreliosis Society.

And isn't that selling European physicians rather short? Not giving them much credit for being thinking professionals?

May I ask why YOU, Spanky post information from IDSA:s Guidelines (that is for people in US) in this topic?

Dr MacDonalds posted questions (from an earler post):
1. Is the German Society for Borreliosis aligned with the IDSA?
2, Does the German Society for Borreliosis embrace the Criteria of the Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention?
3. Is the document on the German Society for Borreliosis concerning Diagnosis and Treatment
an accurate and scientific summary?
My answers:

1: No
2: No, I don't think soo
3: Yes, I think it is

As I believe I have mentioned, SEVERAL TIMES, now, I posted that particular segment for the purpose of showing that the Guidelines of the German Borreliosis Society seemed to agree with the IDSA on that point.

No, Spanky!

You post a quote about symptoms when it comes to early or late neuroborreliosis.

Check in IDSA:s Guidelines WHERE the information you post is found.

Do IDSA talk about an INFECTION (no matter where in the body it is located) that have lasted for more than 6 months?

Ok, everyone!

Here is where in IDSA:s Guidelines the quote that Spanky over and over post, is found:
