Re: Borrelia neurotoxin circulation

Claud, If one is to examine something, then there has to be an understanding of terminology. Period. One way to verify understanding is to ask questions, or provide circumstances, then ask for verification to be sure one is on the same wavelength. It is called dialogue. Apparently you have missed th...

Re: Borrelia neurotoxin circulation

OK, I see what you are saying. I confess, I dont read the Shoemaker stuff! However, Lyemd admits the cholestamarine (sp?) or whatever, does something as a "binder", but is not sure of the "action" ?. These guys are saying a neurotoxin is directly spat out by borrelia....correct? Sort of like snake v...

Re: Borrelia neurotoxin circulation

Probably because it isn't there, probably because it's speculation. The best we've seen are some lame comments by Schaller. I dont think I would lump Schaller with Burrascano...they may be talking of two different things. There is evidence I have presented that the lipoproteins are producing a toxi...

Re: Borrelia neurotoxin circulation

Fin, From what I have read there is no LPS in borrelia. (which is in the definition for endotoxin). There is cytokine cascade from the borrelia lipoproteins. There is disagreement on the endotoxin definition. The LPS also causes the cytokine cascade, so it the LPS the toxin, or is it the cytokines? ...

Re: Borrelia neurotoxin circulation

I just did a quick search for effects of cytokine storms on liver and kidney function, with results indicating that yes there is damage/effect. So one could say borrelia lipoprotein toxins cause cytokine damage resulting in organ/tissue damage, and it would be in the patients interest to neutralize ...

Re: Borrelia neurotoxin circulation

The originating question was whether borrelia has a toxin. Endotoxin is defined as cytokine response with LPS. The problem may be in the limitation of using LPS as a qualifier, rather than using the cytokine response. The cytokine response is a result of borrelia lipoproteins (in part). So going bac...

Re: Inflammation resources

Blocking of cytokine response in H5N1 flu does not improve host survival. http://www.pnas.org/content/104/30/12479.full#sec-2 (using groups of mice deficient in (individually) TNF-α, IL-6, and CCL2) These results refute the popular paradigm that the cytokine storm is the cause of death during H5N1 i...
