Re: Expanded Study Confirms Lyme May Be Sexually Transmitted
Plausibly, at best perhaps it may happen as a very rare accident, just like transmission via mosquitoes . The problem is that as long as persons stung by mosquitoes and getting sick after a while are not tested for Lyme disease, we will never know if transmission via mosquitoes is so rare as it see...

Re: Resurrecting the 'yuppie vaccine'
I knew it and I've always known! That in all those years my family practioner thought he was dealing with a patient suffering from yuppie disease when seeing me! But fortunately, after almost 20 years of untreated Lyme disease, it seems he finally believes me as I now look like a Junky! Lucky me! :w...

Re: How prone is PCR to contamination?
Hi velvetmagnetta, Does anyone have any facts, figures, opinions , or just thoughts about the how prone the (PCR) method of DNA detection by amplification is to contamination? Re: Long-Term Assessment of Fatigue in LD
Thanks for posting Rita.
I wonder if besides Borrelia, these patients have also been tested for other possible pathogens/viruses such as Epstein Barr, of which has been found that can be reactive and which perhaps cause long term fatigue.

Re: Never was nor will be one only infected with Borrelia
Thanks for verifying Martian. And my apologies if my post was misleading (but this is what I had at my disposal). With regard to sientific evidence that ticks might transmit Bartonella, I found the following study: Source: Pubmed 1Laboratory of Rickettsiae, Chlamydiae, and Enzotic Spirochetes, Natio...

Re: Never was nor will be one only infected with Borrelia
Got that? How can I get that when it's not included in the article I red?? (Source: Dutch Association for Lymepatients, bulletin nr. 02/2014) Thanks anyway for your kind efforts in supplying these additional details Martian ;) . Besides all this, AFAIK it is still not established that Bartonella ca...
