Re: Newbie here

I don't know of any llmds in uk myself. But just in case anyone else here doesn't, you can throw up a post on mdjunctions lyme forums and find a doctor that way. Made an appointment within 24 hours of making a post there.

Re: My Intro and science questions

Got bitten by a tick whilst camping in Slovenia August 2011, bullseye rash appeared after a week and the puncture from the bite took 2 months to heal, GP generously gave me a prescription for mepore dressings. If you have the bullseye rash right after being bit you most likely had/have lyme. You ne...

Re: Validity of the CDC 2-tiered Test for Late Lyme Borrelio

First, I am not a physician and can not make a diagnosis. Nor am I asking for a diagnosis. The point is you can't even list possibilities. Go ahead feel free to list 5-15 things that could be wrong with me. I'll wait. If I were a physician, I certainly would not make a diagnosis from just reading a...

Live in the future!

Re: Validity of the CDC 2-tiered Test for Late Lyme Borrelio

Don't know if your being sarcastic or not but if you are your opinion is now useless that you wouldn't even begin to trust a patient with the symptoms they say they have. If not. Yes I really do, I also have written down my symptoms since August and could easily upload them and prove to you that I'm...

Re: Validity of the CDC 2-tiered Test for Late Lyme Borrelio

Lorima: So, in the absence of an objective test result (Western blot, ELISA, or culture) you believe that symptoms alone are sufficient to diagnosis Lyme disease. Well, here are 38 symptoms that Constance Bean, in her book entitled "Beating Lyme", listed as possible indicators of Lyme disease: unex...

Re: How can I help my friend with Lyme Disease

From my understanding there are 2 levels of immunoglobulin that need to be measured while having lyme disease, IGm and IGg. First off the tests are wildly inaccurate and therefore untrustworthy. it may now be a chronic condition for her with no possible cure. Generally the consensus seems to be tha...

Also, it was sufficient to satisfy the FDA who approved the two-tiered procedure.
Because we all know American government agencies are perfect!

Re: Validity of the CDC 2-tiered Test for Late Lyme Borrelio

So, I ask again -- if a patient is seronegative by the IgG Western blot and is also culture negative, what objective criteria would you consider to be decisive in making a diagnosis of Lyme disease? Are you going to rely just on non-specific symptoms alone? Well the criteria is already out there. T...
