Re: Patient-Formulated Lyme Disease Survey Draft

If you use line numbers without editing in a spreadsheet, all the line numbers must change with one insertion. Good point. This is going to get longer, and keeping up with line numbers every time you need to add a row in the beginning is just nuts. I guess we could try to keep a semi-updated versio...

Re: Patient-Formulated Lyme Disease Survey Draft

Well here's a thought since people seem to like the line numbers. What if we put the text into a spreadsheet instead for now? That has built in line numbers and no need to add them at the beginning. Or will that get too messy to take it back out into word format? LHCTom what do you think? I did a qu...

Re: Patient-Formulated Lyme Disease Survey Draft

LHCTom, I like the formatting you suggested and I agree let's try our best to keep it simple on the first shot. Deal with conditionals and splitting later if we have to. For now just get the questions hammered out. Later we can break it out into whatever we want.

Re: Patient-Formulated Lyme Disease Survey Draft

M - for miscellaneous Ah you beat me to it, I was going to suggest that, lol. I'm ok with one big doc or a doc for each section. It's easy to just cut and paste the sections back together. Once we know what we want to ask, then we're going to have to figure out structure, branching etc anyways. vel...

Re: Patient-Formulated Lyme Disease Survey Draft

I'll also add that you can see who is editing the document at the same time and what line they are editing. It shows different people in different colors. It's really neat actually. The document is then stored in the "cloud". Giving people access to who can see it vs. who can edit it is really easy....

Re: Patient-Formulated Lyme Disease Survey Draft

Velvetmagnetta I think I'm just as frustrated with the whole situation as you and Camp Other. If I wasn't so terrible at biology I'd go back to grad school/med school and work on it myself. We need a voice for us in the research community. Someone to admit we don't know everything about Lyme and the...

Re: Patient-Formulated Lyme Disease Survey Draft

Well, I think some of the unconventional treatments do work, but we need to have a better understanding of why. There are several examples of current medicines that came out of natural plant sources that have been studied to find the chemical species that was active and then a new drug made from it....

Re: Patient-Formulated Lyme Disease Survey Draft

Would we put things like grapefruit seed extract under supplements or herbs? Herbs right? Other's to add to the list, not sure if these count as herbs or if they are more processed for under supplements are serrapeptase and nattokinase. Also, we need a little more breakdown on the B vitamins, no? So...

Re: Patient-Formulated Lyme Disease Survey Draft

I think the treatment section is by far going to be the hardest to organize. How about let's start by figuring out what info we need to collect for each treatment? Then maybe that'll help us decide how to ask it. Good lyme treatments tend to be very complicated (for those with chronic lyme anyways) ...

Re: ANTHRAX RELEASE FROM 3 CDC LABS IN ATLANTA 6/7 to6/13 20

As someone who recently went through Penn as an undergrad, I can assure you that the recent string of suicides is not unique to Penn, but instead is a common mental health problem found at many top universities across the US. IMHO I do not think they are related to this. There is extreme stress plac...
