Re: Anyone know the latest on the Ceres Nanotrap

I have a positive antigen test, even got close to a CDC positive two tier test, just lacking one band so anyone who thinks two tier is good for clinical use would have not treated me and I would be dead by now. Plus, I have two positive babesia test results from two different labs, all symptoms cons...

Re: Anyone know the latest on the Ceres Nanotrap

Armchair, internet scientist. Like that description, velvet. And he ignored the question about whether he has lyme. So, he doesn't. What kind of person hangs around an internet forum occupied by patients, but doesn't have it, and insults those who do? Would it be helpful to post a description of a p...

Re: Anyone know the latest on the Ceres Nanotrap

Yet it has been cultured. It is true that this is not ideal for an early acute case where time is of the essence. And sez who that it was nonsense. If you are so smart why haven't you reduced the chronic lyme population? But then, considering your other posts, the way you would do this is to pretend...

Re: Anyone know the latest on the Ceres Nanotrap

The C6 test is not any better than the two tier system, according to many who have used it, so I sincerely hope it will not replace anything, even though two tier needs replacing. In every other infectious disease, culture is the gold standard. In lyme, anyone who is able to culture it will certainl...

Re: Anyone know the latest on the Ceres Nanotrap

Here is their explanation for using OspA. Don't know enough myself to have an opinion. Why test for Outer surface protein A? The target of the Nanotrap® LA Test measurement, Outer surface protein A (OspA), was identified as a valid biomarker for detecting Lyme disease based on the following findings...

Cell division in lyme and relapsing fever spirochetes

http://www.pnas.org/content/113/33/9162 Wondering if this explains the "string of pearls" appearance. Interesting that only lyme and relapsing fever spirochetes do this, and it is described as an evolutionary divide in spirochetes. Does that mean there is less difference between lyme and relapsing f...

Re: Can the disease progress under treatment?

Yes, it can still progress while in treatment, but that usually means that the treatment is not adequate, or you got more than one kind of germ from the tickbite and something else needs to be added to the treatment. It is not uncommon for a tick to carry multiple diseases, like babesia, ehrlichia, ...

Re: Neuroborreliosis-Associated Cerebral Vasculitis

As usual, every time they say some manifestation of lyme is rare, I repeat that what is rare is when they diagnose it. No one at all knows how often this occurs. What is sure though is that it is more common than suspected.

And thank you Rita for these very interesting papers.

Yes, the content of such material is certainly less important than getting it in the correct forum. I salute your values.
