Re: LLMD--is it worth it? Cost/benefit of Lyme treatment?

Regarding GP v. LLMD, my LLMD is an internist (GP whatever you want to call it). It's also important to remember that it is largly patients who bestow the "title" LLMD on doctors. Not always true, sometimes doctors try to get more business with calling themselves LLMDs, but very common. When patient...

Re: LLMD--is it worth it? Cost/benefit of Lyme treatment?

I guess all "LLMD"s aren't created equal. Mine used to take insurance and stopped but I still haven't broken the bank.

Martian and Spanky, thanks for the testimonials. I've only taken oral abx as well and recently stopped them. I feel much, much better. :D

Re: Open letter to ILADS from a former member

The doctor/author of this "open letter" is an altie out of Santa Fe. Her training is in Emergency Medicine. She has more than one "open letter" floating around. http://treatingxmrv.blogspot.com/2010/04/open-letter-to-mecfslyme-c... I am a 56 year old physician with ME/CFS/atypical MS. I have a daugh...

OP = original poster. Again, the article doesn't contain any science, just a review. Again.

Re: Baltimore Sun Article - Lyme Disease: Science Prevails

The OP made reference to the article in the Baltimore Sun. There's no science in that article, it's an opinion piece. I'm not talking about the amount of research that may or may not have been done to support the IDSA guidelines.

So, two different things, newspaper article v. guidelines.

Re: Baltimore Sun Article - Lyme Disease: Science Prevails

I'm confused. Where's the science in this article? It's just one guy's point of view. Also confused about your statement: The 'rants and raves of Lyme disease activivsts on the internet' can in many cases be attributed their secretly ranting and raving Lyme doctors. How would you know which or if an...
