Re: Tigecycline, how to get it
Sorry I don't have any better ideas, except calling around pharmacies in the cheaper countries and having them order it for you and going to get it...not sure what country you're in. I've been looking for cheap Rocephin online and it is expensive online but very cheap in some countries...not sure ho...

Re: doxycycline + minocycline + levofloxacin + rifampicin?
That looks very heavy on the antibiotics. I know you might just be frustrated and wanting to go nuclear on this thing but I personally don't anymore think it is the way to go. I used to buy meds in Mexico and go nuts, using 2.4 U of bicillin 3 times a week, at times with 3000mg Ceftin a day. I used ...

Re: Doubting after 2.5 years
Well if you have or had the same Lyme Disease that I have, it is something you'd definitely notice.
If you don't notice being sick anymore, then time to drink up and forget about all this.

Re: Lyme Death from Antibiotics - Flagyl Hazards
:( Too many common experiences here...unfortunately not all due directly to the bacteria. I think some physicians could benefit from Spanky's quote about not discarding a piece of the puzzle because it may also fit somewhere else. It's painfully clear that some believe it is too easily ruled in and ...

Re: Lyme Death from Antibiotics - Flagyl Hazards
Apparently this person had "symptoms of fatigue, insomnia, achy joints, memory loss, and confusion." Not to mention IgM positive along with improvement on antibiotics and worsening upon cessation of antibiotics. I would guess many GPs here in western Canada could diagnose this person with Lyme...nev...

Re: Lyme Death from Antibiotics - Flagyl Hazards
[quote="LymeHystorian Patients that receive excessive antibiotics and other medications that don't need them may wind up just as sick as someone with Lyme, or worse - dead. If there are no definitive tests or symptoms of Lyme, whose to say whether someone's continued illness is due to Lyme or their ...

Re: Lyme Death from Antibiotics - Flagyl Hazards
Typical "PLS" BS. While no doubt some patients receive antibiotics that didn't need them, we don't know if she did or not...and being educated on probiotics is another story. Pick your poison. Have every aspect of your life slip away from Lyme Disease and risk losing it by not treating with antibiot...

Lyme in Canadian birds
I live in BC, so this might be more interesting to me than some of you but every bit of knowledge helps. http://www3.interscience.wiley.com/journal/123563226/abstract?CRETRY=1&SRETRY=0 Detection of Lyme disease spirochete, Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato, including three novel genotypes in ticks (Ac...

Re: Outcomes of Children Treated for Lyme Arthritis
"...based on absence or presence of persisting joint involvement 3 months after antibiotic initiation." I'd be more interested in when the treatment ended. If treatment was 6 weeks, then 3 months is indicating 6 weeks off antibiotics. Were the antibiotics followed with anything in the following 6 we...
