I have seen people label one an "ILADS doctor" because he/she: -was on the ILADS board -was an ILADS member -was already labelled LLMD (so "ILADS doc" is used as a synonym for "LLMD") I have also regularly seen people calling Fallon and Donta "ILADS doctors". LLMDs seem to be those trained by the ILADEF. Here is another one.

Doctors seem to be using participation in the ILADS training program as a selling point to promote their expertise to naive patients.

I think of ILADS doctors as those who are trained by the ILADEF, whatever that means.

The description of "LLMD" seems more like a way to indirectly promote the services of the ILADEF. What qualifies those trained by the ILADEF as being more 'literate' about infectious diseases than others who have dedicated their careers to the study of the same?
