They tried?

I thought all they did was to look for a possible way to discount their findings. Did they actually try to replicate their culture method?

Re: Validity of the CDC 2-tiered Test for Late Lyme Borrelio

No comment from Henry? Nothing from hv808ct and the shills? What's going on? Are these legitimate results really showing a flaw in the recommended testing procedure for Lyme Borreliosis? Will the IDSA and CDC insist these findings don't invalidate the recommended testing but that new tests should be...

It's also surprising that this one late-stage neurological patient was not considered false positive. I wonder why...

Re: Validity of the CDC 2-tiered Test for Late Lyme Borrelio

The answer is YES. See Table 3 in : http://cid.oxfordjournals.org/content/47/2/188.full.pdf+html. Also, examine the frequency of bands for the IgG Western blot (Table 2). The data are very convincing and consistent with the CDC criteria for a positive Western IgG blot.. Hmmmm, no. The answer is sti...

Re: Validity of the CDC 2-tiered Test for Late Lyme Borrelio

In another thread, Henry said: Incidentally, your argument for circular reasoning is flawed. Many studies used to provide information on the sensitivity and validity of 2-tiered testing were based on panels of well-characterized specimens obtained at later times from patients who were culture positi...

Re: Question about cycles of flare-ups

I had seen this feeling defined as depersonalization before and it does seem to fit the actual feeling I have experienced. I've also wondered if this feeling was what other people described as brain fog, but it could be something else. Here's the wikipedia entry on Brain Fog: http://en.wikipedia.org...

Re: Question about cycles of flare-ups

Hello lyme2341ga, I have cyclical flare-ups too and I can attest they are not related to a menstrual cycle (I am a man). I experience the same weird sensation that you describe (like being in a dream) for 1-3 days at every ~30 days. Also cyclical are weird insomnia episodes where I toss and turn lik...

Re: Immune Evansion/Persistent Infection by B. burgdorferi

Sapi et al 102 conclude that based on their in vitro demonstration, Bb likely forms biofilm in vivo and that Bb likely uses biofilm as a refuge from diverse environmental stresses within animal hosts. I did not see this conclusion from Sapi et al. Did I miss it? The "likely" qualifier looks like an...

Some LymeNet Europe members are like politicians in that they keep secret the true purpose of their involvement.
