Re: Information about microscopy (for the member who asked)

Thanks Carina. Also saw your images on YT. Really good. I think those of us who are microscope-friendly should share our images here. I would love to know if what I am seeing here in South Africa is the same as elsewhere. We need to bring microscopy back to life and where possible, follow up with PC...

Hospital register howlers

Many languages are spoken in South Africa, and sometimes English is a person's third, or even fourth language. The results can be hilarious. :D Actual writings in Mpumalanga (province in South Africa) Hospital Register 1. Examination of genitalia reveals that he is circus sized. 2. The patient has n...

Re: Need objective help interpreting test results

The question I had was not in relation to whether a positive culture for borrelia is, in theory, a conclusive result for Lyme. It was more in relation to whether the Advanced Labs test is valid . From what I understand, the methodology hasn't been verified by any independent third party. I, too, wo...

Hi MC

Now I see why you were interested in the ashwagandha. Do give it a go.

Keep pushing through, and don't everdo the abx.

All the best

Re: Superbug Documentary

Thanks for raising this issue, Muscle Carr55. While I am entirely convinced that Lyme can be chronic and debilitating, and needs to be treated, I am also concerned about the residual affects of the extended courses of antibiotics. Microbial resistance to antibiotics IBEZIM EMMANUEL CHINEDUM Departme...

Proper use of quotation marks can be found here. http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/577/01/ "The primary function of quotation marks is to set off and represent exact language (either spoken or written) that has come from somebody else." This comment is about grammar, and probably belongs i...

Re: Information about microscopy (for the member who asked)

I can't believe I didn't pick up this thread sooner. Thanks to Lorima for pointing it out. How ironic that 'microscopy' is found in the OFF TOPIC section. I understand that visuals of spirochetes cannot be used in a diagnosis, but not so long ago ( a couple of hundred years) microscopy was the new s...

I bumped Carina's microscopy thread - it's in the Off-Topic section of Lyme Community, here:
Thanks for the link, Lorima.
