Re: CDC and Fry Lab blood smear--weird info!

Sorry, I must've missed a step: why are we now talking of gastritis and not being able to eat etc.?

Any relevance to the title of this extremely long (and boring?) thread about Fry?

Re: Do Medications Really Expire?

I knew expired tetracycline (or all tetracycines?) are thought to be bad, but now I wonder: is that based only on that one report? (by G. W. Frimpter and colleagues in JAMA, 1963;184:111). Could well be :) you know the way things are! People (myself included) think stuff they read/hear from reputab...

Re: Do Medications Really Expire?

Cave, They do mention cyclines: "Second, medical authorities uniformly say it is safe to take drugs past their expiration date -- no matter how "expired" the drugs purportedly are. Except for possibly the rarest of exceptions, you won't get hurt and you certainly won't get killed. A contested exampl...

Re: My crotch is on fire ...

Yeast infections in the genital area often do get superinfected with bacteria. You could try using a cottonwool swab, put it under water, squeeze excess water out then pour some betadine on the swab, keep this on where it hurts, as long as you can (15 minutes maybe). I think the betadine helps both ...

Re: Dr Schaller - Does He Cure or Just Write Books?

Yes, i know it's been around for donkey's for the treatment of malaria in its exoerythrocytic forms. Here in France you can't get it unless you HAVE a form of persisting malaria and you can only get it through a hospital if your hospital practitioner applies for an special authorisation on the groun...

Re: Dr Schaller - Does He Cure or Just Write Books?

Some doctors who claim to be on our side do in fact contribute to giving us a very bad name! Being French, I always have trouble adjusting to the way some American stuff is packaged. Dr S.'s website looks so gross, my French trained brain would normally immediately look the other way. But I have lea...

Re: Babesia / Malaria treatment question?

I honestly do think, however, at least from everything I've read, that the parasite can be eradicated with relatively minimal treatment (a month or two of Mepron+macrolide). You honestly think?! I haven't been over here on Lymenet Europe for a while and first thing I read is LE who "honestly thinks...

Re: Lyme-like Illness

Other than Cave and Nelly, who seem to have an answer 100% contrary to mine at every turn: LE, now I have another explanation for what you write here: you can type but you can't READ!!! Neither Cave nor myself "have an answer 100% contrary to yours at every turn", in fact if you read my last post y...

Re: Lyme-like Illness

What the Lyme-literate community now knows to be "atypical Lyme" may very well be any one of numerous other diseases that have yet to be considered, and not just the host of "co-infections" known to accompany (or come in place of) Lyme. First of all, I would like to ask you why you choose to coin t...
