Re: American Election Year

Martian, you were explaining, not supporting, right?

If you are a passionate supporter of DT, I guess I should avoid discussing American politics here, out of respect for your role as host of this excellent, intelligent web site.

Re: American Election Year

Yes, I guess that's part of it. Free-floating anger. Looks to me like they are cutting off their noses to spite their faces. (Are there European equivalents for that phrase?) It's funny how authoritarians can think of themselves as rebels. And how they can think that by directly voting for a creator...

American Election Year

John Oliver clip. Best summary I've seen of our worst problem. And funny, which is the only way I can look at this situation and not get depressed.

Re: IDSA Lyme Guidelines (2006) WITHDRAWN from NGC

There is no enforcement of IOM recommendations. They are supposed to work by shame, which isn't very effective among powerful medical academics. The default assumption, which hv808ct and certainly Henry are always ducking behind, is that guideline authors are the cream of the crop of medical experts...

Re: New: Identification of Additional Anti-Persister Activity from an FDA Drug Library

Funny comment from a reader of Dr. Daniel Cameron's excellent blog: http://danielcameronmd.com/patients-should-be-warned-of-lyme-disease-complications-including-lyme-encephalopathy/ Rob 01/29/2016 (4:37 am) Many physicians now suffer from a syndrome known as “Von Wormser By Proxy”. This syndrome man...

Re: The Case for Teaching Ignorance

This is just what medical people need. There's a strong incentive to pretend to know it all, in medicine, and a lot of doctors (maybe most?) never quite get it, how limited and sometimes fictitious medical knowledge really is. Presumably as they get older and more experienced they should take off th...

Re: New: Identification of Additional Anti-Persister Activity from an FDA Drug Library

Ideally, I would answer this by doing a lit review on C6, from the perspective of what we know about how 2T testing "validation" was faked. I don't know when I'll find the time to do that, though. So here is an interim response. I have theoretical concerns about using response to a single peptide ep...

Re: New: Identification of Additional Anti-Persister Activity from an FDA Drug Library

:) Yes, I've often thought that. They are trolls, but they are well-connected trolls involved in keeping the official charade going. I just like to show how simple it can be, to recognize missed Lyme diagnoses, once you know the 2T test is grossly insensitive at most points in the disease process. D...
