Re: Drug Combination Active against Amoxicillin-Induced Round Bodies of In Vitro B. burgdorferi Persisters

@ Duncan As you are fully aware, Henry must have been addressing me, but truly must be confused to make the same mistake, yet again. Either he and nnecker have both been drinking way too much of the Koolaid, or they both need someone to check in on them in person to make sure they are not suffering ...

Henry? Are you OK? You seem to be very confused. Admittedly, though, these last two posts of yours did provide me with quite a chuckle. Henry wrote: dlf: Yes, doxycycline, the antibiotic of choice for treating Lyme disease, is a bacteriostatic agent. Although treatment with bacteriostatic agents doe...

Re: Drug Combination Active against Amoxicillin-Induced Round Bodies of In Vitro B. burgdorferi Persisters

Henry, I feel no need to persuade you of anything. I am responding to your posts for other reasons. I do think, though, for a person who claims that evidence-based science is all important, (just as I do), you sure seem to dismiss some good scientific evidence and base a lot of your beliefs on faith...

Re: Drug Combination Active against Amoxicillin-Induced Round Bodies of In Vitro B. burgdorferi Persisters

Henry, I am not a mathematician either. But, this is really not a mathematical problem. It is simply a reality. The problem or question in need of a solution is more likely to be...... what level of immunoglobulins, which isotypes and subclasses, and what levels of those are required to battle down ...

Re: Drug Combination Active against Amoxicillin-Induced Round Bodies of In Vitro B. burgdorferi Persisters

Duncan, I used to think when Henry came on and posted a comment that directed us to a new ALDF paper, that possibly he might be the author. Maybe that is true for some of them, but I really don't believe he could have written this one. This one is very carefully written and is well-crafted to manipu...

Henry, you wrote: DLF: Since DNA has been found to persist in the tissues of infected animals for long periods of time after the infection has been cured by antibiotics, the work of Hodzic et al. does not necessarily prove the presence of viable Borrelia cells. Only that there is sufficient DNA in t...
