How some LNE members are like politicians...

Post by Camp Other » Wed 24 Apr 2013 23:54

I'm just starting this thread for entertainment value.

Feel free to complete the sentence based on your own sense of humor and observations:

"Some LymeNet Europe members are like politicians in that they _____________________________________."

I'll go first:

Some LymeNet Europe members are like politicians in that they don't answer questions they were asked and answer a different question they were not asked.

Some LymeNet Europe members are like politicians in that they accuse others of what they themselves are guilty of.

Some LymeNet Europe members are like politicians in that they try to argue for a position when they themselves do not have knowledge of important details and/or history in order to form intelligent and informed objections. They argue and object based on assumptions and partial information. They can't accept that they may be wrong and uninformed. They persist in demanding to be informed of details to which they are not entitled. They pretend to be experts when they are not. It serves them well. That's cult-like politics and games. When they don't get their way, they'll write baited remarks about others and feed the conspiracy theories.

Some LymeNet Europe members are like politicians in that they start off their campaign in support of transparency and the public's right to know - but when it comes time to answer direct questions they clam up.

Some LymeNet Europe members are like politicians in that they only care about issues which affect them, rather than the big picture.
