Lyme News Bot

Hello admin -

I am not complaining because I very much appreciate the Lyme news available in the "Lyme news" tab, but lately whatever web crawler you're using seems to be missing a lot of really pertinent Lyme research papers, studies, and other Lyme news items.

I used to depend almost solely on your Lyme news tab to see if anything worthwhile is happening in LymeLand because this is the most trustworthy Lyme site I know of, but man, Otzi? Really?

I think the bot may need a keyword update. :?

I can't improve this, because the Lyme news list is depending on a third-party search engine. I know the list may miss relevant studies and news items, that's why the Lyme news page is offering a few links to other resources, including PubMed. Note that sometimes new items are only added with some delay.

The news article about Ötzi is probably included because it contains the keywords "Lyme disease":

Source: ... ef=science
Ötzi was discovered in 1991 by a pair of German hikers in the Otztal Alps, near the border between Austria and Italy. Since then, researchers have conducted many studies on the remarkably well-preserved mummy. In addition to finding scores of tattoos, they've determined that the Iceman was likely about 45 years old at the time of his death and that he suffered from heart disease, Lyme disease, tooth decay, and joint pain.
