Can you post what Bagge have said, I think the whole world like to know.
I seriously doubt if the "whole world like to know"...

...but I wouldn't be a bit surprised if a majority of those on LNE would agree with what Bagge said.

And, I think I must remind you, Spanky that we are talking about Europe, and in many places in Europe, IDSA-treatment is NOT GIVEN, but many poor educated physicians "think" that treatment for neuroborreliosis (= early stage 2) also "is enough" for stage 3/chronic* Lyme borreliosis (no matter if it is a neuroborreliosis or not).

* The European definition.

Then, why do you mention it? If it is something said by Bagge that the whole world don't want to read?

Spanky:

Or do IDSA secret police/ ninjas restrain European doctors and smack them with those little reflex hammers until they agree?
Well, I don't think little reflex hammers are needed actually. I'm afraid far more subtile 'tools' are used for this purpose.

Such as? *

Jedi-mind control? Vulcan mind-meld?

Do they offer them condos on Maui? Oceanfront? (I CAN be bought).

Or...maybe they just lock them in a room and force them to watch the end of the Packers-Seahawks game over and over and over...until they are reduced to drooling, nodding "empty suit" yes-men?

Any other suggestion, Spanky?
There's a whole weekend at your disposal to look for it.
;)

Perhaps you would like to explain to the rest of the class what it was that you meant by:

What, in your opinion, are these "subtle tools"?

Please...illuminate me.

I have the whole weekend...

Summary for Spanky JD.

This thread began with the content of the white paper from the German Boreliosis Society.

The German Borreliosis Society is not politically aligned with ILADS.

The list of objections from the German Borreliosis Society to the Hallowed IDSA guidelines
is lengthy and supported by literature citations.

The German Borreliosis Society is composed of members of the Academic community
it is prudent to take their objections seriously and to raise the level of these objections
to a parity position with the academic level of the IDSA.

At the heart of the German Borreliosis Society list of objections are issues about the
pathobiology behaviour of the borrelia burgdorferi family of spirochetes in the human host.

To see these issues as Geography Only issues is the view of a person who never read the
full German Borreliosis Society white paper.
To fail to recognize the points of agreement between the ILADS guidlelines and the German Borreliosis
Society guidelines is an indicator of broad brush bias against BOTH GROUPS.

Respectfully submitted,
Alan B. MacDonald, MD

Dear Spanky,
You have yet to provide this discussion thread with the answer to the 3 questions below:

Do you have answers to questions 1,2,3 below?

inmacdonald wrote:Continuing Education Testing : Comprehension of the Guidelines of the
German Borreliosis Society:

1. Is the German Society for Borreliosis aligned with the IDSA?
2, Does the German Society for Borreliosis embrace the Criteria of the Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention?
3. Is the document on the German Society for Borreliosis concerning Diagnosis and Treatment
an accurate and scientific summary?
Best,

I have no problem admitting "bias" against ILADS. Not sure that "bias" is the word that I would choose, so much as "contempt".

You see, I have seen portions of their previous conferences online.

(Never have attended in person. Too expensive. And I'm afraid someone will try to stick an iv in me when I'm not looking).
