Americans interested in Eeropan testing

Post by LHCTom » Mon 2 Feb 2015 2:43

In looking at the different Western Blot designs, the Euroimmun Anti-Borrelia Euroline-RN-AT IgG appears to be one of the best thought out designs. Not only does in include the 3 species Bb, Ba and Bg sonicated antigens but also with classic, authentic, WB-purified antigens (p83, p39), recombinant VlsE or native OspC from B. burgdorferi, B. garinii and B. afzelii, recombinant designer antigens (p18, p19, p20, p21,p58) and new lipid antigens.

The report includes the actual optical output of the band reader so one is able to examine antigens not in their criteria levels and kDa locations which should be legitimate since they use sonicated antigens. Even though antigens are up and down regulated, it appears to be one of the most informative tests and reports. So I looked for a lab that would accept US orders. I came across:

Anyone aware of any other alternatives - This lab is in Romania.

Which appears to accept US orders and offers a whole range of Euroimmun tests plus others including:

WESTERNBLOT
Euroimmun Western-Blot RN-AT IgG serum – 200 RON
Euroimmun Western-Blot RN-AT ADVANCE IgM serum – 200 RON
Euroimmun Western-Blot RN-AT IgG LCR – 350 RON
Euroimmun Western-Blot RN-AT Advance IgM LCR – 350 RON
Euroimmun Western-Blot RN-AT IgG pair serum + LCR – 500 RON
Euroimmun Western-Blot RN-AT IgM pair serum + LCR – 500 RON
Euroimmun Western-Blot RN-AT Advance IgM serum + LCR – 500 RON
Euroimmun Western-Blot Garinii IgG serum – 180 RON
Euroimmun Western-Blot Garinii IgM serum – 180 RON
Euroimmun Western-Blot Afzelii IgG serum – 180 RON
Euroimmun Western-Blot Afzelii IgM serum – 180 RON
Euroimmun Western-Blot Burgdorferii IgG serum – 180 RON
Euroimmun Western-Blot Burgdorferii IgM serum – 180 RON
Any idea what LCR is?
How about IgG pair serum + LCR ?

I've written to them but was wondering anyone knows the distinction between these:

Euroimmun Western-Blot RN-AT IgG serum – 200 RON
Euroimmun Western-Blot RN-AT IgG LCR – 350 RON
Euroimmun Western-Blot RN-AT IgG pair serum + LCR – 500 RON

I'm C6 positive by 3 labs and have a >10 year infection so Vlse is a good late marker for late low level infections.

I've had the following IgG bands spread across 4 labs.
18, 31, 34, 39, 41, 58 and 66 but never more than 4/5 so mon CDC positive.

I'm also ALS 3 times culture positive with a CA strain from the pyrG sequence provided on one culture as determined by NCBI BLAST.

So I' curious what the 3 strain Euroimmun will show at this point.

Anybody tried this?

As well as the new Anti-Borrelia EUROLINE-RN-AT EUROIMMUN offers a complete package for Borrelia diagnostics that leaves no wishes unfulfilled. This is based on international guidelines for two-strep diagnosis of Borrelia (DGHM; RKI, Berlin, Germany; CDC, Atlanta, USA) and for CSF diagnostics. All reagents are CE certified and there are comprehensive automation concepts for all test systems – we are happy to provide extensive validation data on request.
