BCA Lab, tube storage

Post by NotJustInMyHead » Fri 3 Feb 2017 14:32

Hi,

Wondering if anybody could help with a question I have.

I have been sick for years with something that could be Lyme. Blood samples have been sent to BCA Lab in Augsburg and all instructions they sent have been followed. Basically all they said was to keep the tubes in room temperature and do not centrifuge. However, now I heard that the tubes should have been stored upright for 30 minutes after the blood draw and only after put in the box...

Does anyone know? If you sent samples to BCA Lab, have you or the phlebotomist stored them upright for 30 minutes?

Many thanks for reading.
