Invincible borrelia?
Re: Invincible borrelia?
That's one way to look at it. I'd rather think that there are a lot of people who have an array of nonspecific symptoms that they falsely attribute to Lyme disease. They blame the "medical establishment" for the fact that valid diagnostic tests don't show that they have Lyme disease; to them, such tests are no good and no better than a coin toss. The again, they blame treatments known to be effective for treating correctly diagnosed Lyme disease for not curing the Lyme disease that they don't have. The latter explains the need to invent such such fictions as biofilms, "persisters" and various amorphous shapes (round bodies, cysts) to justify what they consider to be "treatment failures". Everyone is wrong but them. They believe that they are the true and only source of knowledge about Lyme disease. The net result of all their efforts is to create a paradise for quacks with all sorts of unproven remedies that many people are foolish enough to put into their bodies -- at great personal cost.

Resistance developing in coinfections such as Bartonella... pulse dosing creates resistance in these kinds of coinfections and should not be done.
Babesia becomes rapidly resistant too.
